Silverado

The Silverado Project, located in Lyon County in northern Nevada, is a strategically positioned geothermal exploration project north of Silver Springs, south of Fernley, and southeast of the Reno Tahoe Industrial Center. This places Silverado within one of northern Nevada’s fastest-growing industrial and technology corridors, where hundreds of megawatts of demand for reliable, around-the-clock electricity continue to grow from data centers, advanced manufacturing, logistics, and AI-driven infrastructure.

The site was first identified by TLS in 2022 through high-confidence geothermal favorability modeling from our DIG4GEO intelligence suite. In 2025, TLS acquired two federal geothermal leases on BLM lands, advancing Silverado as a compelling blind geothermal prospect within one of Nevada’s most active clean energy corridors.

With no surface manifestations currently identified, Silverado represents the kind of hidden geothermal system opportunity TLS is built to evaluate. Beginning in 2027, TLS plans to apply its full exploration workflow dedicated to blind geothermal systems, including extensive geophysical investigations, to define the subsurface resource with greater precision.

Beyond the technical resource assessment, TLS is evaluating Silverado within its broader development context, including grid interconnection pathways, offtake opportunities, ecological considerations, and local stakeholder alignment. As data centers, advanced manufacturing, logistics, and AI infrastructure increase demand for reliable clean power, geothermal energy offers a potential source of 24/7 electricity that can support grid resilience while reducing dependence on intermittent generation alone.
